answer to the questions of Down and out in the magic kingdom

what is your reaction to the text  you just read?

when i first started reading the down and out in the magic kingdom, i was a little confused as to what the location was until the narrator mentioned the job  his girlfriends parents were employed for. At a first glance, i felt that we were in a a theme park and the protagonist gave us a little back story about his love life and some of the insecurities he felt regarding dating a younger woman.  He makes it a clear point that hes dating someone 15 % of his age and  sometimes he doesn't understand her. But regardless of the age difference they have a clear understanding of each other.

what connection did you make with this story? discuss the elemets  of teh story you were able to connect?

reading this story,  I felt that this story connected to me in a personal level, because, i fell that i am one of the older generations, who feels that its important that a fried should be there for his other close friend in their time of need and assist in what ever sense possible.  the part where  lil  looks at Dan and has a small glance of disapproving look when she first sees him,  reminded me of my own personal relation ship i had with my ex, where she looked out for me but the difference in our thinking had a  big gap.  Its funny , to read a story like this, because its something is still face with my roommate, where he calls me an old man jokingly, and I call him a kid all in jest. 

What changes would you make to adapt this story inti another medium? what midum would you use? what changes would you make?

I feel that this story has  good plot points and could be turned into a dramatic podcast, where people can listen to it on the go. I feel that the story is too short, and probably would expand a bit on some plot points. I would add more back story as to how the narrator and lil started dating and the challenges they faced. I would hire people to play parts of the actors as it would  add more to the drama.

Final Pitch of Park of Dolls

The park of dolls is a unique and interactive theme park, which provides its guest with unique thrilling experience with a driving narrative. The guest play specific role as an individual, who’s been kidnapped by a high functioning psychopath and has abducted them and brought them to a broken down theme park. The target customers are thrill seekers, “wanna be detectives”, and others who love to get scared. There are different types of experiences that can be purchased; Friendly, Scary or Thrilling.

Friendly being the least scary for families with little children, would help the parents to take their children to specific events in the park as well as get a decent experience of jump scares. The park also offers day care services, for those who want to switch the experiences and leave their children in a friendlier place.

Scary would be the middle ground for those, who want to experience the trill  but may change their mind and feel that they would like to skip some parts and just want to do the rides. This experience is for intermediate guest, who have kids and have switched from friendly. This will help the guest to catch up on the narration and provide them better experience of the park. In this pass the guest have to solve the riddles, but if the clues are too hard to find or they feel the time is very hard pressed for them, they can exchange one of their tokens they receive for solving the clue to expedite their experience.

Thrilling is what is recommended. This pass helps the guest get full experience; no tokens or limited tokens are provided. This pass gets the guest full experience from abduction to survival from the dolls to meeting the psychopath behind the mask. This pass is recommended for anyone and every one. This can be purchased for groups as well as individuals. 

The Experince:

After the guest park at the parking lot, they will be picked up in a old bus and will be explained their role. After entering the park through a broken gate (intentionally broken)  and will have to show their pass to the teller. once in, the guest will see participant walking around  with their faces covered by their hands. The guest will see a creepy house in the middle the park. To get in, the guest will have to complete all the prerequisite tasks first . These participants will collide with the guest and will give them their first clue. And will blind fold them and lead them to the first area. The blind folds will be taken off once they enter the house of the psycho path. This experience is a maze and the guest have to find their way out.  The maze will lead the guest into the second part of the theme park, In which guest wear a VR headset ride a roller coaster, while visualizing that they are being attacked by creepy dolls attacking you. Once completed, this ride transports the guest to the third part of the park, the play area, where you realize that you have to find your daughter, in order to dins the clues, the guest have to explore this are. This area will be where you have food court as well as dense forest tree lines. This will be a part of the experience and the servers will play their own characters. Some will feed false information and some will provide the correct information. When guest make it to the final area which is the center of the park, and will have to make their way down to the basement to find the daughter dead or alive. Once the guest have found the daughter they will be immediately blind folded and taken back into the broken bus and the blind folds will be removed. And will be transported back to their vehicles.

Amenities of the Park: Along with the rides, the park offers day care services of children that parents don't want to take  along with them, as well as toilet amenities.  The food court will have themed food cuisine to give the guest authentic experience.  All participants will be well trained in their defining role and will have lounging quarters.

Design process of a theme Park world

Looking into theme parks such as the ones in the universal, disney, japanese anime park, six flags. The more I researched the  more i felt enlightened by the though process that that went into creating a theme park. One of the important thing I learned from researching into  harry potter world was what attracts tourists to go there? Is it the franchise? the characters? the visuals? The answer is yes. All of the above attract tourist to visit a theme park. However,  how would people react to a theme park, that is  opening with new idea? As I pondered on few of the integral parts of the questions, i realized that something that was most important in any theme park was a narrative.

Thus, I found my theme (action suspense). My park is going to based on a story of parent, who has been kidnapped by a high functioning psychopath, who's goal is to  torture you for his entertainment. As  this character the guest will have to take rides around the theme park to find clues and solve the riddles to know which ride or which part of the theme park they have to go. And as you solve the riddles, Its slowly reveled to you that your daughter is being held captive and you must find her  and escape the park. I find this idea particularly interesting as its more intimate and interactive. Each ride will be specifically designed to add to the thrill and experience of the guest. for example one of the rides would take place you on a boat where, robot dolls will be throwing things at you and you will have to aim and shoot objects. This idea will use a 4D system ( something like what they have in Hogwarts castle in universal) that will provide you and immersive experience. along the way, many participants of the parks will play the part to confuse you  as to where you go, however, some will be exempt to help navigate the guest to their destination or guide them  for food court and rest areas.  There will be signs that will also guide the guest through the park.  

Power distributed in the world

In my world, everything is transparent. Power is distributed based on who can prove to be strong and protect the tribe. Usually, the hierarchy  of power is in a pyramid  diagram, the chief has the most power as its his/ her responsibility to see that the tribe survives through all of the harsh weather and there would be no scarce of food and threats against wild life. After the chief, there are 3 advisor, their the tribe is to monitor the tribe and  report to the chief regarding any issues the tribe faces. They have their own secretive informants to keep them updated on any and every information concerning the tribe.  Under them are justice system ( note: even though this group is lower in the hierarchy, they hold the power equal to the chief, to regulate that no one abuses their position) This is usually comprised of 10 individuals. after which, have the hunters and gatherers, and common citizen who can apply to be in tribal government position.

Usually, there would not be any issue of betrayal or  abuse of position because tribe shares every function as hunters and gatherers equally, thus eliminating the discrimination of  "who is better" mindset.  The advisors and the justice department meet on weekly basis to discuss what needs to be built and rationing of food. based on the information provided  it is discussed with the chief on biweekly basis  after which the chief approves or suggested alternative changes.  Most of the society architecture is made  out of clay type material  with wood structured beams. They are currently using Indus valley  architectural forms for shaping their territory and building their society.

Society formation

As time passes,  humanoid creatures come into existence and start for their own society. In the earlier stage of forming  tribe, these bipedal creatures, would not differentiate  as to who they met and would challenge each other to a fight regardless of their gender and skin tone.  At first glance, this could be seen as a hostile  environment, however, on a closer observation, one could see that it was a selection process for creating a tribe.

Moving forward few hundred years, we can see that there are many tribes that have come to existence. And some of the old values still carry on. However,  unlike humans on earth, fighting for territory and going into war, these creatures have seem to find a less violent ways to restore order and approach conflict. By most part, one could see that they would resolve alto of misunderstandings by talking to each other. If a crime had been committed the accused was sentenced to a cage match. For example, if the crime was theft, a one on one match would be announced between the defendant and the accused and would be made a sport out of it.  If the defendant, lost a match they would have to pay the accused anything they required (like  number of weeks or years of service) however, for more serious crime, such as rape or going against the tribe, there would be a 5 day cage match  that would be announced, in which case they would have to fight dangerous animals such as a saber tooth alternative or  wrestle with mega shark like creatures in the water to live. all the events would be  oversited by chieftain of the tribe. The chief ton of the tribe would be chosen regardless of their age and gender. The trial of the chief would be choose in a gladiator style, but killing was not allowed.

It would seem that, the same values were adapted between all tribes. And during the clash between the tribes similar values were applied, the chief would fight each other alone to fight for territory or anything else they required.  It is believed that the tribes choose to stick with these values, because it helped their predecessors survive through harsh environments and conflicts against other animals. These values were all ingrained into proposing to a mate. In this culture expressing ones self is important and unlike speaking and not being able to express, it was believed that sometimes actions speak louder than words to express and help keep the peace.

Creatures of Planet Xepodium

Given that Planet Xepodium, had just recently formed few thousand years ago, as  time passes by, there are new life forms that evolve in the planet. These creatures are similar to what could be found on earth. The  creatures found on the planet our currently in their early prehistoric forms. Currently, there are only  land and aquatic creatures present on the planet. The  land and aquatic  creatures seem to share one common pattern, all of them consist of stripes. When observed one would not think noticing these stripes could be ignored, however the pattern of the stripes and colors, potray an important role.  This feature on the creatures skin, shows us what kind of threat they can be to each other as well as us. The deeper the shade of stripes can help us identofy, which region does the animal belong  from, the other commonality  that can be observed is that creatures roaming on land, seem to have gill like features that would give us the information that they could possibly stay under water for a little while.  

For example, a giant  sabertooth cat would have red straight sharp stripes,  and will usually  hunt with a pride of four.  They have gills to jump in the ocean and swim under water to hunt  big fish. but can only swim to a certain distance away from the land. The mammoth like creatures  would have more of a rounder  curve stripes that  would  give us an indication that they are  not aggressive but can attack if agitated. The aquatoc sea live is quite diverse here, however, it would be dangerous to travel too far away from the land, as there  humongous snake like aquatic creatures that  swims beneath the ocean. I would not know its exact color as it can only be recogonized by its shadows as it swims. 

Planet 190-X Aka Xepodium

 Xepodium ( Planet 190-X) is a planet which is placed 400 light years away from Earth. The planet has recently been Terra -formed naturally and currently inhabiting life forms are microbes and some ammo nites. The planet has been in the process of localizing gases and oxygen is still at limited quantity. And hydrogen and other harmful gases are still in the air. However life still survives here. There are few species that are expect to be seen. some of them are AmmoNbites: small shrimp like creatures but with deadly poisonous venom on their shell as well as their spikes. they live close to the shore and live on microbes that float on the surface of the water.  we can also assume that  pre-historic predecessors of Tachyplues would also be found on this planet. They would be more aggressive as species and probably would grow double or triple the size that we found here on earth. We can also find a some new species of octopi such as the elephant octopus who can use the top of its head ad a maneuvering and tentacle mechanism.  They usually live in a society of 15 and have order. the y live in the mid regions of the ocean and are usually shy. The last of the known species are the jest octopi. These are aggressive and can grow to massive size. they usually live under the deep side of the ocean.  They are mysterious and unfortunately we don't know much about their habits. we do understand however that they do come up once in a while to eat and do not distinguish between what they eat.

The world of Oralis

The world of Oralis is a place, which is considered to be a myth but little does everyone know, that is world had existed only in the shadows. In the history of human raise  many known astrologers had discovered this mysterious planet but were ordered to keep it a secret and to be kept of the official books. As per the legends, Oralis is the home Planet where humans originally traveled from. In a book  owned by the last traveler of spacedescribe what oralis may have looked like.

Oralis was once a beautiful booming planet. It had 2 moons and a sun which were at a good distance from the planet to sustain life and amazing temperature. It was beautiful to see the two moons of different colors to rise and set at night. The grass was green during the summers and during the winters the snow would cover the land as a white blanket and would melt by mid morning. the rural areas had more advanced technology that would  help the farmers to grow any kind of produce they  required throught an year. As per the written down scripture he suggested that the days would typically lasted 22 hours and the nights 7 hours thus making 29 hours a day. he suggested that Oralis was so well advanced and the species of the plant were so intelligent that they seemed to had figured pout how to keep making amazing new technologies while they lived harmonious;y with the environment. He suggested that when it rained, the water would initially be crystallized until it reached the surface of the planet and was often considered dangerous to go out during the rain storm. The flowers in Olaris would bloom in different color and every color of hue and shade. Due to excess of oxygen most animals were huge and were often captured to be used for farming purposes. He would go on to write that most of the animals they had on the planet were more like giant insects, that you could take control of. every child was ushered to know anatomy  and how to take on these 4-6 feet tall insect animals. Adults and children would use the lessons learned from school and  apply them in practical terms. In the rural farm land areas, riding one of these insects was a lot more efficient that taking a bus or a train. Of course understandably, insects animals were prohibited in the cities as they could cause mass destruction. That too was common when a hive of insect animals would  attack unsuspected farms or towns, however, to deal with these situations, we had high powered  heat beams that would hurt them and get them to run away.

This set of pictures was one of the most fascinating set of pictures that I had seen. The pictures in this set had a reoccurring theme. And once I browsed through the set,of pictures I  soon realized that the theme was "horror". In the current idea of the theme for the theme park would be the haunted hotel Patricia Wallton

From the very first picture  till the last, this set had its narration and the description of archetype of many interesting characters

As we go past the first few pictures, we can see that the theme of this park would be about a haunted hotel in the 1800s.  As we can see  from the second picture, the hotel was built magitically and was sarround by a huge property. The main aspect of the theme park would be the mansion which had a large lake beside it. The interior of the enterence looked  like an entrance to a five star hotel.

In this hotel, there was a guest call Wellis Hanson. She is a world class archer who had arrived at the hotel to spend some time  practicing her archery. She used to be married to her husband major Rogers of the Royal British Army. due to a freak accident as they were traveling their train crashed and major Rogers was pronounced dead due to quite a bit of blood loss and trauma to the head. To keep her self busy and away from mourning the loss of her beloved husband, Wellis had started taking up hobbies, but none satisfied her until she picked up archery. She was a natural. Archery being an unusua sport at the time for a woman, she was initially reluctant to share her new hobby with other, However,  she remembered a quote that  her husband use to tell others when they were afraid, "if you dont do anything daring, then why should the world remember your name". Thinking of this she had set new societal norms for women  and was one of the very few first feminist  to join the movement.

The room  208, is always locked in Patricia Wallton hotel. This room is the haunted room. It is a non existent room in the hotel.  No one is allowed to reserve it nor enter it. As per the hotel staff this room has a lot of paranormal activity that takes place and one can loose their mind.  different people experience the paranormal activity differently.  But there seems to be a pattern,  It would seem that this room is not just haunted but also may posses some sort of time shift activity that would take the person into a different place in space in time. People who have found and entered to room have described seeing a pair of sibling  dressed up for photoshoot. the girl is wearing a  black victorian era style  dress, where as the brother is wearing a sailor suit.  It is said that the siblings used to stay in that room with their parents and were murdered there. Some say that instead of the little children, they have aseen a woman dressed up as a whitch, with her broom flying around. It is also documented that there are few who reprorted hearing some sort of chanting. and when knocked on the door opening the door, one would see 3 women  with long hair that reached to the floor and in white gowrns chanting as if they were persuing some sort of ritual. Ofcourse  some eyewitnesses are convinced that the witch is realated to the ghosts of 3 women.
